The Sacred Heart print is inspired by the Stained Glass of Jesus's window at St. Manchan's Church Boher, County Offaly.
Stained Glass artist Harry Clarke was commissioned to do the window but because of this untimely death this did not happen and they are attributed to the Harry Clarke Studio Ltd.
The Sacred Heart of Jesus represents Jesus' deep love and affection for us. The heart is an apt symbol, but there is something more than a symbol at work here. There is the very real love of Jesus for the world, a love that wells up from both the divine as well as the human natures of Jesus. Devotion to the Sacred Heart is grounded not just in symbol, but in real love.
